The « Association Amitié Strasbourg-Japon » (AASJ) is a non-profit-making
association created 12th May 1995
Its aim is to favour the development of relations and exchanges between
the Japanese community of Strasbourg and
its region and the local community with an interest in Japan
This is by means of meetings with an aim to discover the heritage of Eastern France and the Japanese culture
The AASJ counts about fifty members
Amongst the Japanese participants figure lecturers, researchers and students,
company managers and employees, artists, staff of Japanese institutions…
The French members are all interested in Japan and include representatives
of the Universities, local economic and governmental bodies…
Our means are made up of member contributions and donations
When our meetings entail expenses, these are shared between the participants
